La difficulté quand je travaille avec les enfants qui n’ont pas forcément une voix bien placée est qu’ils puissent entendre une version qu’ils puissent suivre et imiter. Quand ils entendent ma voix, une octave en dessous de la leur, ils essayent de m’imiter et ça devient très grave et plutôt comique. La solution est de créer une version avec des voix d’enfants qu’ils pourront écouter au casque lors du futur enregistrement en chorale.
The difficulty when working with children who do not necessarily sing in tune, is that they need to hear a version they can follow and imitate. When they hear my voice, an octave below theirs, they try to imitate me in a deep voice and it becomes rather comical. The solution therefore is to create a version with children's voices. During the future recording with the entire class, the children, equipped with headphones, will hear and follow along the soloists' version, making it easier for everyone to sing in tune!
